a) when im doing subd modeling with fencing (adding extra edge) i have some problem to fill my N-GON with my edge. heres the pic problem

the slow solution its kinda like this
1. using cut (interactive) 1 vert to down of the edge u wanted.

2. using loop cut then divide the number what u want. then manually connect 1 vert by vert 1. a lot of modeler using this including me

my dream feature is..

it would be nice if we select multiple vert then the edge that we want. and the result is cut multiple vert through the edge with 90 degree angle cut. is this possible??
b) sometimes when i inset nearly border edge i want the result like (the right pic)

maybe the solution is

inset -> delete face -> straight the edge.
blender have some pretty nice inset with boundary.

actually b and c behave like inset. maybe adding in streamline tools?

after spending a little bit of time trying all common n tools. i found it, it called "context cut" but it will be good if its interactive (can scale the cut).
