I have noticed strange problem with Polygon Tools->Polygon_Extrude_CursorDirection#.
If you scale an object up or down an extruded face won't follow cursor any more. In the first case it will extrude way to fast, in the latter it will barely move.
Create another object that is of the same size as the scaled one and try to extrude one of its face. It will follow the cursor just all right.
Now, export the problematic scaled object to OBJ and reimport it into the scene. Magically the extrude will work as it should on this object.

By the way, at 0:39 you can see that the SHIFT key is stuck when I open sphere window. Even though its depressed state isn't displayed on the HUD. I cannot leave the text selection mode until I press SHIFT again. This propagates on whole system and other programs and NVil is the only application that causes this kind of behaviour. Sometimes I cannot enter numbers because of it.
For what it's worth, I use CTRL+SHIFT+RMB combination to invoke the radial menu for creating primitives. It's the last key combo I pressed before sphere creation window appears. But the bug seems to happen randomly.
Also, what are all those Temporary StreamLine Tools that can be observed at 3:14? There are literally loads of them.

Hi rubberDuck,
If you scale an object up or down an extruded face won't follow cursor any more. In the first case it will extrude way to fast, in the latter it will barely move.
The tool/functions work with the objects scale. For you to get consistent results (that you expect), use the "Common Commands n Tools-> Freeze Scale" (to set the objects scale to 1x1x1) before using other tools.
As for all the temporary streamline tools, those should be auto cleared. I have reported the problem of them remaining before (along with the Keys sticking/corrupting windows key settings) via e-mail. Hopefully now others are seeing/reporting those problems, IStonia will look more closely into why.

Hello Steve.
Freezing the scale definitely helps, thank you. But why don't functions automatically adapt to it? What is the reason behind this?

Hopefully they are all fixed.

Thank you very much IStonia! It's resolved.

Same problem with Edge Tools >> Edge_Extrude_CursorDirection#

Same problem with Edge Tools >> Edge_Extrude_CursorDirection#
Is the object even scaled in all directions?
-
I never scaled that object.
I'd post the scene, but I moved on so I no longer have it. I'll keep my eyes open.

Okay it's happening again. This time with Polygon Tools >> Polygon_Extrude_CursorDirection#.
I have attached a scene.
Object's scale is 1. It comprises of a few faces I duplicated from some other object.
Select all polygons and start extruding.

There are some options, Edit > Options > Polygon/Edge Extrusion Options >... It should work fine if you choose the "No Orient" option. The "Half Orient" option is supposed to use for organic modeling, but it could behave strangely when the extrusion is running on both side of the source geometry.

I'm sorry IStonia, but this option doesn't help at all. It's not about how extruded faces/edges are oriented, but about them moving faster or slower than mouse cursor.
