Title: Imported Textures (Not a bug)
Post by: steve on March 18, 2013, 10:56:55 pm
Hello

After importing a texture and applying to model, if you select a polygon (or multiple polygons) they become transparent with no image.

Your texture could be some how transparent. In the material editor, you can uncheck 'Render texture transparency'. This behaviour is intentional, so you can see selected or highlighted polygons behind transparent meshes.

No transparency channel on the jpeg, but yes, I missed the option, which solves the issue.

Thanks,

also for the purpose of textures on a 3d mesh a non lossy image format like Targa (*.tga) would be preferable, I've seen weird stuff happen with the alpha with jpeg or PNG compression.

It was just a UV grid texture. I was playing with the UV mapper.
