Title: Freeze on selecting a edges
Post by: molebox on February 25, 2013, 02:45:30 pm: I'm don't know, can you repeat this bug or not.. I'm recorded a video - https://www.box.com/s/0p0uoa55lak1bimhcngk

1. from 9sec - 19sec i'm selecting vertex and deleting it.
2. 20sec - i'm select Edge tool and click on the top-right edge
3. Then i'm press "Shift" key and click on the next edge
4. i'm getting freezing(3-10sec) and sounds from PC Speaker.

If you wait a little then it unfreeze.

from 25 sec - before end - video not recorded.

What functionalities are assigned to 'Shift' key in your config?

Does it happen if you just do the edge selection without deleting those vertices first?

On default. I'm nothing changed.

No. I'm tested now.
You will try a few mouse clicks (third point of my post) and look at the NVil in Task Manager. I think that the faster processor is insensible.

Update:
I'm think problem in 99% of processor time when selecting a edges or faces. It is or bug or my old Athlon64 3000 can not handle =)

Since I can't reproduce it in my pc, the only way is to do test on your pc.
Can you run this two test. They will bring up a message box 'Selection made' or 'Selection fetched' at your step 3 when Shift+LMB. If the message box do show up, please let me know how long for it to show up.

If so, how long is it from the time you perform the action to the time the message appears? For example, 0.5 seconds, 2 seconds or 10 seconds. I am trying to locate where the application hangs.

Start test2 now. In empty window just click of mouse and sometimes press Shift - show "Selection fetched". Alse freezing and sounding PC speaker.

I'm used Right Shift (my left hand on cursor key) - freezing

When i'm switch on Left Shift is all ok.
