When using retopo mode I can accidentally move vertices/edges of the reference mesh. In addtion moving those subobjects can't be rolled back with undo command.
-
When the reference object is not selected, how can you move its subobjects? They are not selectable.

Here Is a gif. It takes me few tries to pick one edge, but I finally manage to reproduce it.

What tool were you using when it happened? Was the visual Retopo tool opened.
-
It happens when using retopo visual tool. Tried to reproduce it without visual tool on, by using tweak_move, but no success so far.

Try this and see if fixed.

I think it's fixed now, no issues so far. Thanks.

Ok, another issue. Now I'm unable to move vertices that are occluded by reference mesh. To move them I have to increase Retopo Z render offset until I see them. I don't recall this to be a default behaviour of the tool.
I would be also really convenient to have ability to increase and decrease Retopo Z render offset using hotkey.

Try this
http://www.digitalfossils.com/Download/NVil-Aug-16-17.rar
* Edit > Preference > Options 2 > Selection > Include retopo reference objects in selection and snapping occlusion.
* A new basic streamline tool, Retopo Z Offset. Drag cursor horizontally or vertically to adjust retopo z offset value.
