Hi there,
I was directed here from the hexagon forums , since hex keeps crashing, and well there hasnt been any updates in years.
I tried to run this on my computer, I am running windows 7 home 64 bit, and it just hangs on the logo, saying " cannot create device" I am not the most computer literate individual on the planet, but was wondering, what I may need to do to fix this.

ohh and if it helps, I have a 7950 video card.

Hi jikito,

Sounds like a possible problem with directX.
Please try:- Download the directX runtime and install.

Sorry you are still having problems. I am on a similar setup, Win7 64, but using a 7850.

It may be an hardware or driver issue, but not sure. This is something that IStonia(developer) will have to look at.

Just a question. When you say you installed, did you actually install or just expand(extract) the files?

With the DirectX runtime update, after you download, you execute(run) the package(downloaded file), in a popup window, it asks for a folder to extract to. Once you extract the files, you then need to go the that folder and execute the "DXSETUP" executable file.

yes, when I downloaded dx, I actually extracted the files and ran the setup file.

OK, thanks.

Just to make sure the problem is not due to missing directX files, could you download and install the directX runtime from 2009. It will only add/install any missing files.

Thanks,
