Title: Node material editor

Is it possible to make a node material editor in a program? At least from several nodes in which the texture is selected and it is assigned to the material that is assigned to the object?

In a blender, this is so.
In 3ds max and may also have a node editor of materials.
The node material editor is one of the coolest pieces of all 3D packages.

It is a too complicated thing to implement. I don't think I can do it.
