Title: Rotate world in Orthographic view?
Post by: Tiles on August 31, 2012, 05:26:25 pm
For orthographic view we have front, back, left, right, up and down. And we have perspectivic view, where i can rotate the world. When being in perspectivic view i can switch to orthographic view. The mesh gets displayed orthographic now. And i can still rotate the world. But when i switch into one of the orthographic views, then i cannot rotate the view.

I can of course switch to perspectivic view, rotate a bit, then switch back to orthographic view. Then i have orthographic view, and can rotate the world. But that`s irritating.

Is it possible to add the functionality that i can rotate the world when i am in one of the orthographic modes too? That`s the way it works in Blender for example. And i find it quite handy.

Hi Tiles,

By default the "Direction orthographic" views are locked.
You can change that in :- "Edit-> Preference-> General tab(misc settings): Disable(un-check) the "Directional orthographic view rotation locked" option.
