I'm trying to paint some vertex colors in 3DCoat and it seems to mess up my normals that I made in Nvil. I tried fixing them afterwards by bringing the painted object as a .dae back to Nvil and the vertex colors dissapeared. They seem to be on the object before dropping them to Nvil as I see them in Unity3d.

Any solution to this?

Refer to: Help > Contents > Modeling > Vertex section > Mesh Vertex > Vertex color

That should give you the needed info on how to view/use vertex colors.

I remember there is no vertex color content defined in .dae official format definition. So there could be no vertex color data in your dae file exported from 3dc.

steve: thanks.

IStonia: Yup, There are no vertex colors in there...I was looking at a wrong file. I'm guessing there aren't any file formats that can be imported with vertex colors?
