still think there should be a way to visualize both face normals and vertex normals

as you can see doing this from my maya install gives me a very nice all quads cap on the cylinder.


That can now be done with the new "Streamline Basic tool" > "Edge_Bridge__Multi(NoBreak)"

Both the problems I reported in my first post, now appear to be resolved.
