Title: How to select back faces?
Post by: Tiles on August 31, 2012, 05:57:29 pm
When i select faces with the rectangle just the front faces gets selected. I am sure there is an option somewhere where you can select through, means select the backfaces too. But i cannot find it. Could somebody please enlighten me where this option is? :)

Hi Tiles,

Use the MMB for the rectangle selection.

Hi Tiles,

Shortcut key:- EDIT-> Customize-> Tools: Common Modeling Shortcut Tools-> "Reverse Marquee selection facing intention"

Set that up with a shortcut key. When short_cut_key pressed(held down), the LMB rectangle selection will also select back facing.

Thanks Steve. Doesn`t work, unfortunately. What happens is that all edges gets selected in face selection mode in the moment the rectangle touches the mesh.

EDIT, argh, i was in the wrong mode. Works like charm. Many thanks :)
