Just a question to make sure I'm doing this right in Nvil.

I have saved individual mesh objects with *.vws extension into a folder. These are mesh objects that I would reuse on many projects.

In order to merge these mesh objects into the main project file I am working on, I have to open the mesh object file first and then merge into my project file ?

Seems backward compared to other 3D applications ?

There are 2 ways:
1. You can copy object Ctrl+C from one project and apst it Ctrl+V to aother
2. Open one project(main) than Merge scene(your detail). Another words you open project you working on than merge it with your detail.

Thanks Andrei

No. 1 seems easiest, although it would be better if you could have two scenes open at once.

With regard to No.2 thats what I did but suddenly my library mesh object ended up with all the mesh objects from my project file merged into it. So I then opened my library mesh object and merged my project file into it. Anyway its very backward to what all other 3D apps do. Normally your working on your 3D project and merge you library mesh objects into it.

There is the "Object Library" which may be a better option?. (File > Open object Library / Save to object library).

There is a post which shows how to set that up:- http://voidworld.cmcproductions.co.uk/index.php/topic,1611.0.html

You can have more than one instance of Nvil running if required, and use clipboard copy/paste between them.

Hi Andrei

Yeh, I hit yes when merging. Maybe that was my problem. I can't see why anybody would want that option.

A fairly complex looking dialog box, but I think I should be able to figure it out from your post. Seems like the best way to make life easy for myself.

I also do not know  :)
But there are more important things to ask IStonia first of all :)
About library I also think that it is to complicated and have a lot of ideas how to improve this but as with previous option I think there are more important thing  that we have to make first:)

Yep, agreed.

I can work with what exists at the moment, but as you say would be good to improve it later on down the track.
